Hip dining outlet offers vast choice by conveyor belt delivery chefs ready to create customised dishes as well


Dubai, 16 November 2003 : Variety is the spice of YO! Sushi, according to managing director Sami Daud, who points out that the hip sushi restaurant has more than 160 recipes in its cook book – and more than 60 available on the conveyor belt at a time.
 
The huge selection of dishes ranges from hot and cold food, sushi to sashimi, teriyaki, yakitori and gyoza, as well as salads and fresh fruit.
 
Daud said: “While our name implies that sushi is our speciality, we cover the full range of Japanese-inspired food, including soup, noodles, rice dishes, as well as chicken, beef and vegetarian dishes.
 
“The large number of dishes offers more choice than most convenience food restaurants and more than more formal outlets, and it complements the “taster” style of hip Japanese eateries..
 
“We are the opposite of a traditional Japanese restaurant: there are no waiting staff in kimonos, just fun food delivered in style on our trademark conveyor belt.”
 
The restaurant’s chefs, who have trained for more than seven years in the art of making sushi, are on hand to guide customers through the menu and sushi-making process, as well as create dishes specifically to customer’s individual tastes.
 
Dubai is the location for YO! Sushi’s first outlet outside the UK, which opened in the city’s landmark shopping mall BurJuman in September. It is fitted with the sushi conveyor belts and quirky service that made the brand such a success in Britain.
