The United States oil imports rose last week, as production levels continued near its record levels.

The data of the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed on Wednesday a 626,000-barrel increase in American oil imports during the week that ended on 22 June, reaching a total of 3 million barrels per day.

Meanwhile, net imports decreased by around 512,000 barrel per day to a total 5.36 million barrels per day. American crude production continued at the level of 10.9 million barrels per day, as shown by the EIA's weekly report.
