FUTURES FALL AS SECOND WAVE OF VIRUS RAISES FEARS (0844 EDT/1244 GMT)
U.S. stock index futures fell early on Monday, with Dow futures leading the declines, as a second wave of the coronavirus overseas fanned investor worries. .N
Britain's senior medics said the country will face an exponentially growing death rate from COVID-19 within weeks unless urgent action is taken to halt a rapidly spreading second wave of the outbreak.
Worries about increased lockdowns were hitting travel-related stocks early on Monday.
U.S. stocks closed out the week on a down note Friday, with large technology-related names once again among the primary drags to the downside.
The three major U.S. stock indexes registered a third straight week of declines.
