ISTANBUL- The Turkish lira firmed to its strongest level against the dollar since August 3 on Tuesday, benefitting along with other emerging market currencies from dollar weakness driven by the U.S. Federal Reserve's dovish stance.

At 1130 GMT, the lira stood at 8.3000 against the U.S. currency, 1.1% stronger than at its close on Monday.
