FUTURES TRUMPET TRADE TRUCE (0817 EST/1317 GMT)
Futures are sharply higher in premarket trade after Washington and Beijing agreed to a 90-day trade ceasefire.
Indeed, there's a global celebration underway with European indexes broadly higher. The Shanghai Composite , with a 2.6 percent rally, had its best day since early November.
CBT Dow Futures 1YMcv1 are suggesting a gain of more than 400 points at the open. Under the surface, industrial and automotive stocks are jumping, as are semiconductors.
Commodities are also showing strength with NYMEX Crude Futures up about 4 percent, on pace for their best day in more than 5 months. CMX Copper and CMX Silver SIc1 are advancing around 2 percent each.
