Cairo – The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is set to issue dollar-denominated treasury bills (T-bills) on 7 January 2020.

The $800 million T-bills will be offered through 364-day notes, the CBE said on its official website on Monday.

Previously, the finance minister Mohamed Maait said that the government aims to increase the share of long-term debt instruments to 40% of total issuances by the end of fiscal year 2019/2020.
