Wearing masks and following social distancing guidelines will be mandatory in all indoor and outdoor places, activities and events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

"Based on what was submitted by the competent health agencies in the Kingdom on the epidemiological situation and the surge of COVID-19 cases and its new mutations, it was decided that wearing masks and following social distancing guidelines will be mandatory in all indoor and outdoor places, activities and events as of 7 am on Thursday, 30 December, 2021. Violators will face legal procedures and penalties," Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said in a statement.

 

SPA added that all members of society must urgently take all doses of the vaccine.
