Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday, while wishing good health for former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, asked Punjab government to make every health facility of his choice in the country available for treatment.

"I have asked the Punjab CM to ensure that every health facility in the country is made available for Nawaz Sharif to get the treatment of his choice," the prime minister said in a tweet.

He said the federal government would assist wherever required.

"I wish him good health," he remarked.

Earlier this month, Sharif's daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, said that his medical condition is "life-threatening" and he had four angina attacks.

Sharif is serving a seven-year jail-term in the Al Azizia Steel Mills corruption case - for owning a steel factory abroad without disclosing its ownership - at the Kot Lakhpat Jail since December 2018.
