His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has strongly condemned the terror attacks in Sri Lanka.
A series of eight devastating bomb blasts ripped through high-end hotels and churches holding Easter services in Sri Lanka on Sunday, killing at least 207 people, including dozens of foreigners.
In a tweet on his official Twitter account, Sheikh Mohamed said that, "the bombings that claimed innocent lives in Sri Lanka represent a new wave of terrorism that affects humanity. We condemn the cowardly bombings and offer condolences to Sri Lanka's leadership and people. We need to stand firm to eradicate the scourge of terror."
The tweets had been sent out in both English and Sinhalese languages.
The UAE had also earlier condemned the terrorist bombings that targeted churches and hotels in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
