The Kuwaiti government has decided to extend the suspension of work in all ministries and state agencies for an additional two weeks, as part of efforts against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Work will be resumed as of 12 April 2020, cabinet’s spokesperson Tareq Al Mizrem, disclosed.

He further added that the government decided to close all shops and central markets, except for food stores, noting that the Kuwait Municipality was addressed to determine other vital activities that should be excluded.

The government imposed a partial curfew across the country effective starting Sunday, from 5:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. Kuwait local time, until further notice.
