Are you prepared to be wowed by a three-hour "ring of fire" solar eclipse today morning (June 21)? Make sure you wear special sunglasses with special filters as you look up to the heavens when up to 80 per cent of the sun gets eclipsed by the moon.
Annular eclipses occur when the Moon - passing between Earth and the Sun - is not quite close enough to our planet to completely obscure sunlight, leaving a thin ring of the solar disc visible.
In the UAE, the celestial spectacle will be visible as a partial eclipse.
