Egypt’s Olympic football team, led by Shawky Gharib, will travel to Tokyo on Thursday for the upcoming event.

The squad included 22 players who went through their last training on Wednesday evening at the Cairo International Stadium, in preparation for traveling to Japan to participate in the Tokyo Olympics.

The team is scheduled to conduct a medical test to detect the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), before travelling to Tokyo.

This is the third test for the team before travelling, according to the protocol for participation in the Olympic Games set by FIFA for all football teams.
