CAPE TOWN- South African trade union Numsa will go on a national strike in the country's engineering sector from Oct. 5 after wage talks deadlocked, the union said on Tuesday.

"We will launch the strike with a national launch," the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) said in a statement.
