AMMAN — Upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti has instructed stakeholders to dispatch a medical aid convoy to help Iraq curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The convoy consists of five trucks laden with medical equipment, face masks, gloves and sanitisers, among others, that were manufactured in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Haydar Athari praised the Royal gesture that highlights the "deep-rooted" relations between Amman and Baghdad.
