Egypt releases $1.5bln goods from ports in 6 days

The government is working hard to accelerate the release of these goods at ports

The Egyptian government released $1.5 billion worth of goods from ports during the period from January 18th to 23rd, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced in a meeting on January 24th.

During the meeting held to follow up on the situation of the goods that have been piling up at Egypt's ports, Madbouly stressed that the government is working hard to accelerate the release of these goods at ports.

Cabinet spokesperson Nader Saad said the meeting also touched on the latest development of the Advanced Cargo Information (ACI) system.
