Kuwait is working on a major plan to maintain its strategic reserve of the water resources, especially the groundwater, using latest technology, said a report.

The Ministry of Electricity and Water, in the framework of improving the strategic reserve, aim to modify the system of water production, reported Arab Times.

The ministry’s recently held a meeting to discuss ways to reduce the cost of water production and develop the installations to ensure quality production using the latest technology, stated the report, citing a source.

The crucial meeting comes at a time when Kuwait perceives a threat on its water resources, especially the groundwater, it added.
