Mubasher: The Kuwaiti government intends to privatise three vital sectors, including the postal and telecom segments, by the end of 2018, as reported by Annahar Newspaper, according to well-informed sources.

Privatising these sectors in Kuwait will improve the country’s general revenues from operating projects parallel to those in the oil industry, Annahar added.

The sources clarified that the government will hold a meeting between the ministries of finance, commerce, labour, economic affairs, and services affairs, and Kuwait’s General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development.

This privatisation plan intends to making financial revenues intact when realising fluctuation in oil prices to maintain sustainable economic growth through development projects, Annahar said.
