ArabFinance: Haya Karima (A Decent Life) initiative will benefit approximately 50 million Egyptians at a total cost of EGP 500 billion over three years, planning minister Hala el Said revealed in a February 8thstatement.

The government has allocated EGP 20 billion to benefit about 4.5 million citizens across 375 villages in phase I of the initiative, El Said elaborated.

Last month, the planning ministry signed a cooperation protocol with ECOnsult Architecture to apply standards of sustainability to Haya Karima projects.

Earlier, Egypt launched an electronic system to serve the program.
