Cairo –   Egypt will start on Wednesday its new fiscal year with a public budget amounting to EGP 2.2 billion, including EGP 1.7 trillion of expenditures, up by EGP 138.6 billion from FY19/20.

It is planned that all budget payments will be made through the electronic payment system, together with complying with submitting applications through the Government Financial Management Information System (GFMIS), according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.

The allocations for the health, education, and scientific sectors as well as the budgets for economic authorities and public-sector companies stand at EGP 682.5 billion for the coming fiscal year, an increase of EGP 545 billion from FY19/20.
