Cairo –  The Egyptian finance minister Mohamed Maait announced the average US dollar exchange rate and oil barrel price in the country’s draft budget for fiscal year 2020/2021.

The USD exchange rate was set after considering the average exchange rate during the January-March period, Maait added in a statement on Monday.

According to data by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the USD exchange rate against the Egyptian pound ranges between EGP 15.69 and EGP 15.99 for buying and EGP 15.79 and EGP 16.09 for selling.

The oil price was set at $61 per barrel in the budget for FY20/21.
