Bahrain's population as on March 17, 2020, was 1.5 million, according the latest census report.
Bahrain's Cabinet, at a meeting chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, adopted the 2020 population census of Bahrain, said a Bahrain News Agency report.
The census report was presented by the Minister of Interior.
The census indicated that the kingdom’s population on the night of the reference time, which corresponds to March 17, 2020, amounted to 1,501,635 individuals.
Bahrainis constituted a total of 712,362, or 47.4% of the total, while the number of non-Bahrainis reached 789,273 people, or 52.6%.
