Seoul - Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour said on Saturday that the western governments respect for Iranian enrichment right is the tuning point of the nuclear talks between Iran and Group 5+1.


He made the remarks in a meeting with South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se in Seoul at the invitation of his South Korean counterpart.

The two officials discussed avenues to develop bilateral ties and regional and global developments.
Referring to Iran-Group 5+1 nuclear talks, Rahimpour said that despite ther disputes between the two sides, the general trend of the case is positive.

Contending that the Iranian nation considers the South Korean people friendly and peace-loving, he said there is no negative point in the history of the two countries ties.

He said that Iranian new government is making efforts to develop good communications with the other nations.

As to regional issues, he maintained that holding election in Iraq and Afghanistan and the Syrian upcoming presidential polls are among positive regional developments.
The South Korean foreign minister, for his part, appreciated Iran for its condolences over sinking ferry and said that the country attached special significance to its ties with the Islamic Republic.

Pointing to the exchange of political and parliamentary delegations between the two countries, Yun Byung-se hoped that bilateral relations will enhance in all fields.
 
Commenting on the governments measures to establish peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula, he described Irans role in achieving the goal as important.
South Koreans attach more respect to the Iranian culture, civilization and nation, he said, noting, We are interested to increase our joint cultural programs with Iran.

Referring to nuclear deal between Iran and Group 5+1, he said that the South Korean companies are following up the developments and are keen to boost cooperation with Iran in the fields of economy and commerce.
