Want to buy the black leather jacket Ranbir Kapoor wore in his blockbuster Rockstar? On June 7, you might just be able to.

A charity auction of celebrity-owned items and costumes worn on the big screen will go under the hammer at Dubai’s Atlantis, The Palm in a fund-raiser organised by the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, hosted by Bollywood actor Rohit Roy.

“I will put in my best to support and help the cause and try to reach out to more celebrities to take part in this anticipated auction and try and maximize their effort to reach out to the treasured children of Al Noor,” said Roy in a statement.

He personally convinced actors such as Hrithik Roshan to give away his own Diesel jacket and superstar Salman Khan to put his Dabangg 2 outfit - a blue shirt and black trousers - under the hammer at the event, which is in partnership with Pacific Ventures Real Estate and supported by Ministry of Culture, Youth and Social Development.

Also on the auction block is the white and pink tunic Kareena Kapoor wore in film Heroine; John Abraham’s trench coat from his personal collection; the red cocktail dress worn by Deepika Padukone in Race 2 and Abhishek Bachchan’s sports shoes. Sport items signed by the likes of Diego Maradona and Roger Federer will also be a part of the auction.

A table for ten for the gala dinner will set you back Dh7,250; individual seats are Dh750. For details, log on to www.alnoorspneeds.ae.
