MILAN (Dow Jones)--UniCredit SpA (UCG.MI) said late Wednesday Chairman Dieter Rampl and Chief Executive Alessandro Profumo were confirmed in their posts and Libya's central bank governor Farhat Omar Bengdara joined the board of the Italian lender.
In a statement sent to the stock exchange Milan-based UniCredit also said that Bengadara was named deputy chairman together with Luigi Castelletti, Vincenzo Calandra Buonaura and Fabrizio Palenzona.
In a separate statement, UniCredit said that shareholders approved a cut in the swap ratio for new shares to be issued as a dividend. Shareholders will get 29 oridinary share for every 159 shares already owned, and 7 new saving shares for every 60 already owned.
