Dubai: UAE schools continued their exceptional performance in the All India Senior School Certificate exam results, securing 99.2 per cent pass rate.

A total of 3,848 students appeared from the UAE for the Grade 12 exams organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), with 3,819 qualifying for higher studies.

Overall, a total of 944,721 students were registered for CBSE class 12 examination, of which more than 82 per cent students passed.

Compared to last year, there has been an increase of 15.81 per cent in the pass percentage, with a pass percentage of 82.10 per cent, up from last year’s 80.19 per cent.

Once again, girls outshone boys, with 87 per cent girls clearing the exams while boys lagged behind at 77 pass percentage.

In the UAE, many schools have secured 100 per cent results and a high percentage of students have scored distinctions, with IHS Dubai again leading the way.

IHS students secured 100 per cent pass result, with over 33 per cent of students getting an aggregate of over 90 per cent and 71 per cent scoring over 80 per cent aggregate.

GEMS CBSE schools have excelled as well, with a 99.9 per cent pass rate. Out of 1,062 students who appeared for the exam, 19.7 per cent scored an average of 90 per cent. A total of 20 per cent of the students scored between 85 and 90 per cent and 98 per cent of students got above 60 per cent.

Students from both Delhi Private School (DPS) Sharjah and Dubai also performed well.

At DPS Sharjah, 81 per cent of students secured distinction, with 74 students scoring above 90 per cent marks.

Among the 100 per cent league is DPS Dubai, with 99 per cent of its students securing first division, with an overall aggregate of 82.7 per cent.

With all 136 students passing, Dubai’s New Indian Model School also secured a 100 per cent result.
