ABU DHABI - Abu Dhabi Medical Devices Company (Medeco), a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Industrial Projects Company is the first company in the Arab world which is supplying Auto Disable Syringes to UNICEF for immunisation and vaccination.
The company is among few in the world who have the technology to produce Auto Disable syringes.
This significant achievement was made through the successful partnership of Medeco and Pharmaplan GmbH - Germany from whom Medeco acquired the right to produce and market this type of Auto Disable syringes worldwide. Medeco Auto Disable Syringes have patent registration in Europe & USA.
Medeco Auto Disable syringes are unique in its features as after the fist time application, the membrane pin is activated and block the intake side making the syringe disabled automatically, as no further medicine intake is possible, thus eliminating the risk of cross infection through re-use of syringes.
