ISTANBUL, May 18 (Reuters) - Turkey's lira hit its weakest in a month against the dollar on Thursday, sliding 2 percent as global worries over the U.S. President Donald Trump's future hit emerging markets.

The lira TRYTOM=D3 briefly touched 3.6415 to the dollar, its weakest since April 21. By 1006 GMT it was at 3.6320.

U.S. stocks slid overnight following reports that Trump tried to interfere with a federal investigation, throwing doubt on the outlook for his pro-growth policies and raising the possibility he may be forced to quit the presidency.
