The "Tunis Sports City" mega -project is being built by the Emirati Group, Bukhatir on the northern shores of Tunis Lacke, will take part from March 16 to 19, 2010 in the World's Property Market, MIPIM (Marché International des Professionnels de l'Immobilier) in Cannes, France. The event attracts each year real estate professionals from all over the world.
The trade fair will bring together emerging real estate markets in Africa and Latin America such as investors, architects, urban planners and hotel chains owners.
The Bukhatir Group has started since July 10, 2009 the marketing and sale of the first part of the "Tunis Sports City" project dubbed "Cedar" following the launch of a vast promotional campaign so as to market the project in neighboring countries such as Libya, Algeria, European as well as the Gulf countries.
"Cedar", the initial part of the project, will cost 642 million dinars and will be built over a three year period. The project is also expected to provide some 6000 direct and indirect jobs.
The rest of the projects- will cover an area of 256 hectares and will be completed by 2015 at an estimated cost of 5 billion dollars.
It will comprise an international sports academy, a football stadium, 9 sports academies, an Olympic swimming pool, golf courses, luxury hotels, leisure spaces and shopping centers.
