TRT will use capacity on SES-5 located at 5 degrees East tobroadcast its free-to-air digital channel TRT Turk and its radio channelTurkiyenin Sesi Radyosu (TRS) to the region using the satellite`s unique Ka-banduplink capabilities, allowing for flexible operations between Europe and Africa.With a line-up of almost 500 TV channels and access to nearly 25 million homesacross Europe and Africa, SES` 5 degrees East orbital position provides growthopportunities for broadcasters and offers a wider choice of TV programmes forviewers. SES-5 was launched in July 2012 and complements SES' successful ASTRA4A satellite at this orbital position providing additional and extended coverageover South Africa, North Africa, Europe and the Atlantic Ocean.
