Team Y&R Dubai has been awarded the Rani account - the flagship fruit drinks brand by Aujan Industries Co after a four-way creative pitch.

The agency will work on the new master brand communication development project for the beverage brand.

Rani, one of the top powerhouse Arab brands, enjoyed a turnover of $400 million (Dh1,469m) at the end of 2008 and is planning to expand geographically outside the Middle East into Africa, South East and Central Asia, as well as Eastern Europe and Russia.

Launched in 1982 in Saudi Arabia, Rani now enjoys universal brand awareness and strong brand equity in the GCC, Iran, Iraq and the Levant. Aujan Industries is now looking at consolidating the portfolio under a new communication platform for the master brand across these markets.
