Najm al-Din Karim, the doctor of Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani denied on Wednesday, that the president's health is not progressing adding that he will announce good news to the Iraqis from Germany.
Karim's answer came in response to a news report published by a French press agency, revealed earlier that "Talabani's health has not changed".
"According to the latest report that we have received from the medical team, the President's health is very good and stable," Karim said in a statement briefed by "shafaq News".
"I will head to Germany soon and will visit President Talabani, and from will announce good news for there," according to PUK's site.
Talabani arrived on 20th of December to Germany to follow-up his stroke treatment, accompanied by his medical team.
Talabani's office announced in February that "he is responding to the treatment and improvement of his natural abilities".
Talabani suffered since years of health problems. He had a heart surgery in the United States in August 2008, before he was transferred after a year to Jordan for treatment due to exhaustion.
He also went to the United States and Europe last year several times for medical reasons.
Talabani, named "Mam Jalal" means "Uncle Jalal" in Kurdish language, is the first Kurd president in the history of modern Iraq.
Talabani was elected as the president for a transitional period in April 2005 and was re-elected in April 2010 for a second term of four years.
