The Dubai Department of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs will hold a special ceremony to celebrate the Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) Mawlid (birthday) on May 12.
The ceremony will be held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry after the Maghreb prayer at 7.30pm. Dubai Satellite Channel will air the programme live.

Al Hammadi added that the ceremony includes some Holy Quran recitation and speeches about the occasion that will be delivered by Sheikh Ali Al Jafri, the guest speaker.
Dr. Hamad Al Sheikh Ahmad Al Chibani, the General Director of the Dubai Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Department, will also speak on the occasion.
Dr. Ahmad Nour Seif will be honoured during the ceremony for his effort with the department. "The life of the Prophet Mohammed serves as a great message to mankind," said Al Hammadi.
"The Prophet showed mankind the path of righteousness, compassion, charity, brotherhood and tolerance. The Holy Quran describes the Prophet as he was sent by Allah the Almighty to show mercy to all creatures."
Al Hammadi added: "The Prophet's message has the power to lift the human race from ignorance, violence and moral decay to a life of peace, virtue and spiritual contentment."
