Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Mindari Aenzac proved too good for his rivals and win the 120-km GCC Seniors Championship in Doha, Qatar yesterday.
Shaikh Hazza completed the 120-km ride ahead of 36 other riders from the GCC countries in a timing of 5 hrs 41 mins and 03 secs with an average speed of 20.69 kmph.
Shaikh Hazza and Mindari Aenzac topped each of the five loops in the GCC event to record their second win outside the UAE.
Shaikh Hazza had earlier won the Al Ahram Endurance Ride in Egypt on Mindari Aenzac, one of the UAE's top endurance horses.
Finishing second was Bahrain's Shaikh Faisal Rashed Al Khalifa on Faras Koama with an average speed of 19.03 kmph while Ali Eissa, also from Bahrain finished third.
The UAE's Adnan Sultan Al Nuaimi riding Harmere Hariz finished fourth. "It was another dominating display by Shaikh Hazza who galloped home on Mindari Aenzac with the UAE flag in his hands.
"The experience of the UAE rider was fully evident when his horse was ready for the final vet check within minutes after its fantastic finish and completed another good victory," said an official from the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation from Doha.
