Saudi Kayan announces that it has begun the trial operation of Amine project at its complex in Jubail Industrial City Tuesday evening, 4/5/1433 H, corresponding (March 27, 2012). The project includes the following production units:-
1-ETHANOLAMINES 100 KTPA: (MEA, DEA, TEA) are used in applications such as Gas sweetening, detergent and specialty cleaning formulations, concrete mixtures, flexible rethane foam catalysts, pharmaceuticals, personal care products and others.
2-ETHOXYLATES 40 KTPA: The Company will produce two grades of ethoxylates, alcohol ethoxylates and polyethylene glycols ("PEG") and these products are used in Household laundry markets, for detergent and laundry powder.
The announcement was stated by Engineer Mutlaq Al-Morished, Saudi Kayan Chairman, who praised the efforts of all the employees and contractors to achieve this milestone. Adding that Amine plants product will be produced for the first time in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will contribute in more investments opportunities in downstream industries locally.
