Riyadh –  Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals signed a mutual cooperation agreement to match education outcomes and scientific research with the strategic needs of the kingdom’s military industries sector.

The collaboration will support the military research and development (R&D) system in the GCC country in tandem with the objectives of the National Vision 2030, according to an official statement on Tuesday.

Moreover, it will create summer and cooperative internship opportunities for the university’s students and provide postgraduate students with scholarships to pursue Master’s and PhD degrees in military industries-related fields.

In addition, the two parties will establish career development centres to facilitate the employment of military programmes’ graduates.
