Tehran - Director General of the Syrian Arab News Agency SANA, Ahmad Dawa discussed Monday with Iranian News Agency IRNA's counterpart, Mohammad Khodadadi ways of developing cooperation of the signed agreement between the two agencies.

During the meeting, Khodadadi pointed out that (IRNA) has established a special group to cover the events in Syria, adding the ground is available for full cooperation in the news filed to face the current challenges.

For his part, Dawa briefed his counterpart on SANA performance and the developments adopted during the last years regarding the technical and editing sectors. 

He affirmed the vast cooperation between the two agencies to suit the level of advanced ties between the two countries in different fields.

SANA Director General also met a number of officials at Tasnim News agency, discussing with them cooperation between the two agencies in light of the signed agreements to exchange technical and professional sessions to raise the level of performance.

He pointed out the importance of removing any obstacles that prevent delivering news services between the two agencies as soon as possible.

Dawa also discussed with Director General of FARS News Agency, Nezamoldin Mousavi, the possibility of using technical expertise to avoid hacking attempts to which SANA website is repeatedly exposed.

For his part, Mousavi expressed readiness to put FARS technical expertise at service of  SANA's engineering cadres, affirming the need for expanding cooperation between the two agencies.

SANA Director General's visit to Tehran comes within SANA's participation in the 7th Conference of Islamic Radio and Television Union launched Sunday under the title "Awakening Media... The Voice of Resistance and Confrontation against Sectarian Sedition."

Over 220 members from 36 countries and 300 TV and Radio channels from various Islamic countries are taking part in this conference, in addition to Syria.
