KUWAIT, Nov 10 (KUNA) -- Salmiya handball team defeated Qadsiya 32-26 Friday in one of the top matches of Al-Kharafi 8th Handball Championship's fifth week.

The match was fierce but Salmiya proven they were better than the yellow-and-black and ended the game with eight points in its pocket to share the first position with Fahaheel.

Qadsiya suffered absence of his stars who were joining the national team, getting ready for the Asian Games, due in Doha, Qatar, next month.

Athough Qadsiya ended the first half leading by one point, 13-12, Salmiya regrouped in the second half and controlled the tempo of the game and won it.

In another game, Kazma beat Tadhamon 29-26 in a game the organe team was in full control of the entire match.
