DUBAI, 3rd September, 2014 (WAM) -- The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently received a visiting delegation from Jumeirah Group, one of the key hospitality and hotel industry specialists worldwide cum member of the Dubai Holding Group to which major Dubai-based companies and projects are affiliated.

The visit came in the context of the Group?s keenness to review RTA?s expertise and best practices in corporate project management, besides reviewing the goals, objectives and organizational structure of RTA Project Management Office and its accumulated experiences in this regard.

Laila Mohammad Fraidoon, RTA representative in the Global Executive Council of the Project Management Institute reiterated RTA?s commitment to contribute effectively to realizing the vision and aspirations of Dubai shrewd leadership towards promoting the standing of the emirate in undertaking large-scale projects at the highest international standards of infrastructure and services, rendering it a focal point for the whole world.

The Jumeirah Group delegation paid tribute to the visit and the benefits gained from the RTA experiences and expertise in corporate projects management.

Meanwhile the RTA, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council , will organise ?Dubai International Project Management Forum,? in collaboration with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Emaar Properties and the Project Management Institute (PMI), during the period from 28 to 30 September 2014.

The event, which will feature a huge international participation, will discuss several key topics such as maximizing the return on government investment in infrastructure projects, linking corporate development projects with corporate strategic plans, highlighting the role of project management offices in government agencies, and stressing the importance of partnering with the private sector in undertaking mega projects.
