Arabic entertainment network Rotana Audio Visual Company has opened an office at Dubai Media City.
Rotana, which was established in 1987, is owned and chaired by Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal.
The new office is the latest addition to Rotana's presence in Dubai.
"DMC is an ideal place for Rotana to manage and run its global operations. We look forward to expanding our offices at DMC in the near future," said Bassem Jamil, managing director of Rotana Broadcast International.
Rotana is the world's largest producer of Arabic music and has six free-to-air satellite channels: Rotana Music, Rotana Clip, Rotana Tarab, Rotana Khlijiyah, Rotana Cinema and Rotana Zaman.
In 1995, Prince Al Waleed had acquired 25 per cent of Rotana Audio Visual company, the largest Saudi recording label with the top 100 Arab artists.
In 2002, his stake in the company was increased to 48 per cent, and in 2003 to 100 per cent.
The group owns the largest Arabic musical library in the world and supplies Arabic satellite channels with content.
Rotana Cinema has more than 2,000 movie titles, making it the largest library of Arabic movies.
"As a leading Arab entertainment channel and media company, Rotana will enhance the existing business partner community at Dubai Media City," said Mohammad Al Mulla, director of Dubai Media City.
Dubai Media City has over 50 regional and international broadcasters transmitting over 130 channels.
Some of the leading broadcasters include MBC, Showtime, BBC, CNBC Arabiya and Taj TV.
