Ali Eissa Al Nuaimi, director-general, DED-Ajman, said the launch of the 'automatic renewal of trade licence' service was developed based on the classification of the degree of risk for economic activities. This adds to the department's track record in creating easy-to-follow procedures for licence renewal. The launch of the service also complements the move to position the emirate as an investment haven.
Yaqoub Yousif Rasheed, director of IT department, DED-Ajman, said: "With this new service, investors will be sent an SMS that includes an electronic link to pay the renewal fees and once this is done, the renewed licence will be sent via e-mail. The new service is part of the new version of the licensing system and in line with the plan to develop the economic licence system."
The new system is expected to achieve 70 transactions per day, said Saud Al Shammari, director of registration, department of economic and licences, DED-Ajman.
