RAS AL KHAIMAH, 19th December 2013 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah has issued an Emiri Decree reshuffling the Board of Governors of American University of Ras al-Khaimah (AURAK) under his chairmanship.
The new decree states that the Chairman of the Board of Governors of AURAK is also its Chancellor and chairs its board's meetings. According to the decree, the Ruler may dissolve the board and replace one of more of its members before the end of the term of their membership. H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi is also Chancellor of American University of Ras al-Khaimah. The new decree appoints Dr. Abdul Rehman Al Sharhan, Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi, Dr. Mohammed Abdullatif Khalifa, Dr. Ateeq Jekka Al Mansouri and Dr. Naser Jabnoon, as members of the Board of Governors of AURAK for a renewable three-year term. The decree also states the mission and responsibilities of the Board of Directors which will make its decisions based on majority vote at its relevant meetings.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2013.
