DOHA: The pavilion of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) at the just concluded Qatar Career Fair received a total of 1,290 job applications from Qatari nationals. The job seekers include both males and females.
The visitors to the MoI pavilion expressed their willingness to join various civil and military jobs when they were introduced to various opportunites available with the Ministry.
The pavilion provided all information related to the job positions through a booklet, including the available vacancies and required qualifications.
The MoI pavilion received a huge number of female job applicants Wednesday morning.
The entrance on Wednesday morning was restricted to female job seekers. The pavilion received 800 applications until Wednesday afternoon, said Captain Muhammed Al Gayathien, Assistant Director, Human Resources Department, MoI.
He said the Ministry offered jobs to a total of 900 Qataris in 2009. "We train the civil and military staff in different fields such as computer, languages, secretarial works and public relations and offer them a post matching to their skills and qualifications", Captain Gayathien said.
