Doha/Dubai: Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, and Qatar Airways yesterday announced the airline's successful migration to Altéa Departure Control - Flight Management and Customer Management.

Amadeus said in a release the move will enhance the airline's efficiency in flight operations and customer service, while reducing costs. "The successful migration of Qatar Airways to Amadeus Altéa Departure Control - Customer Management and Flight Management is a strategic step towards the transformation of our IT system," said CIO of Qatar Airways, Srinivasan A T.

"Today's advanced technology helps us to provide airlines with the right solutions to enhance customer experience as well as increase the carriers' efficiency and reduce costs," said Amadeus SVP and Chief Technology Adviser to the CEO in the Middle East and Asia, François Weissert.

"This is a significant milestone not only for Amadeus and Qatar but for the airline industry in the region as a whole. Altéa Departure Control is the industry's leading solution transforming how airlines manage passengers," he added.
