Provisional Friday Prayer leader of Tehran here Friday labeled production of blasphemous short film 'Fitna' in Holland as goof off of Islam's enemies.
Addressing thousands of Tehrani worshipers at Tehran University Campus, Jannati said, "A wretched member of the Dutch Parliament produced and presented this film. The matter can be surveyed from various angles. These moves are episodes of a general scenario for which scores of infidels are mobilized, taking roots in the United States and Europe and penetrating elsewhere."
Ayatollah Jannati added, "Such moves are nothing new, but they are entirely working against their own interests, just as the pressure imposed against the Prophet by the infidels, that was to the loss of the enemies, and to the benefit of the Muslims."
The provisional Friday Prayer leader of Tehran said, "These are silly moves they are making. Have they assumed that Islam is so weak and the belief of the world Muslims is so frail that they would abandon their faith so easily?
Addressing the infidels behind such blasphemous moves, he said, "You are so silly that you do not feel the need to respect the beliefs of 1.5 billion world Muslims. Be sure they, too, do not respect you the slightest bit."
He meanwhile expressed hope that if this lingering problem would not be solved, effective measures would be adopted to confront it, arguing, "The Islamic world Alims and thinkers should confront these 'Fitnas' and satanic moves, and to voice their enmity against their plotters."
OCCUPIERS, ENEMIES OF IRAQI NATION, GOVERNMENT
Ayatollah Jannati said that the current status of Iraq demands effective management of the Iraqi Government and full awareness of the Iraqi nation.
He added, "The Iraqi nation and Government should know that their enemies are neither Shi'as, nor Sunnies, neither Arabs, nor Kurds, or even Iranians. Your enemies are the occupiers of your country, that is by repeated extensions of the occupation time depriving you of your entire material and spiritual wealth; so you should mobilize your entire forces."
Pointing out that the massacre of innocent people is to the benefit of no side, save the United States, he said, "The (Iraqi) government should respect the value of the revolutionary forces, and the revolutionary forces, too, should respect and abide by the laws." Ayatollah Jannati said, "The Americans are killing so many Iraqis that there is no need for them (the Iraqis) to kill one another.
