ADDIS ABABA, 11th December, 2013 (WAM) -- The new President of Ethiopia, Dr. Mulatu Teshome, received at the National Palace in Addis Ababa, the U.A.E. Ambassador to Ethiopia, Dr. Youssef Issa Hassan Al Sabri and Permanent Representative to the African Union.
During the meeting, Al Sabri conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Ethiopian President on the occasion of electing him as a president of Ethiopia and assuming his tenure, wishing him success and good luck in performing his responsibilities. The UAE ambassador highlighted the progress of the bilateral relations and fields of joint cooperation between the two countries, in the light of the two sides' interest in boosting them in all domains, especially in the economic and investment aspects. For his part, the Ethiopian President asked the U.A.E. ambassador to convey his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa. He also expressed his congratulations to the U.A.E. government and people on the occasion of the country's 42nd National Day and Dubai's success to host EXPO 2020, wishing further progress and welfare for the U.A.E. Mulatu Teshomealso hailed the existing distinguished bonds, which have witnessed rapid progress, noting the importance of boosting cooperation in the economic fields and encouraging Emirati investors to increase their investment in all in sectors in Ethiopia for the advantage of the two peoples.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2013.
