In the framework of his meetings with social activities of the Syrian governorates, President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday received representatives of a number of social activities from Hasaka governorate.

The meeting dealt with conditions in the governorate, with the representatives briefing President al-Assad on the living conditions, requirements and problems of the people of Hasaka, affirming the need for pooling the efforts of the governorates' local authorities and people to resolve these problems.

The representatives voiced thanks and relief over President al-Assad's directives to resolve the issue of the 1962 statistics before April 15th, affirming that the Syrian people are united against any attempt to tamper with the country's unity, security and stability.

They also pointed out to Hasaka's honorable history and struggle against occupation, stressing that this represents the Syrian people in all historic junctures as it unites against external interferences and attempts to shatter its national unity.

President al-Assad saluted the people of Hasaka governorate for their honorable national stances, congratulating them on occasion of Newroz and saluting their national role which is proven each day by events.

Abdul-Aziz Mohammad al-Musallet, Sheilkh of al-Jabbour Tribe, stressed in a statement to SANA following the meeting that all the people of Hasaka stand behind the program of reform led by President Bashar al-Assad, highlighting the national cohesion in the province in particular and the solid social fabric in Syria in general.

He pointed out that President al-Assad discussed during the meeting each of the requirements and demands raised by Hasaka citizens separately, and affirmed that the priorities of the new government will focus on finding the appropriate solutions for all the problems facing the citizens.

"The meeting was brotherly, open and transparent in which the President listened to all the demands of the people of Hasaka province," Sheikh Abdul-Karim al-Ebeido, representative of Harb tribe told SANA.

He cited the problem of 1962 Survey and the improvement of living conditions in the province among the main demands discussed at the meeting.

He said that President al-Assad stressed to have these issues addressed as quickly and as soon as possible.

Sheikh al-Ebeido emphasized that all the citizens of Hasaka stand against the conspiracies and seditions targeting Syria and its unity, stability and national and pan-Arab stances.

Samir al-Basha, a senior figure of al-Koujer tribe in al-Malikiyah region said "The meeting with President al-Assad expressed the national cohesion all over Syria."

He pointed out to President al-Assad's remark of making the celebration of Nayrouz (the Kurdish New Year) a celebration to be marked for all the Syrian society starting with next year.

"We were welcomed open heartedly by President al-Assad who listened to the sufferings and worries of the people of Hasaka," Sheikh Bashar Daham of al-Sharabin tribe said in a statement.

He expressed the rejection of the social activities in the province to any attempt targeting the national unity, stability and security of the Homeland.

"With their awareness and tolerance, the sons of Hasaka have been able to curb the attempts of sowing sedition among the sons of the Homeland," said Archbishop Eustathius Matta Roham of the Syrian Orthodox Archdiocese of Jazirah and the Euphrates.

Sheikh Hussein al-Hajji of Bani Sab'a tribe from Qamishli city told SANA that most of the delegation's demands focused on improving the agricultural, economic and living conditions of the citizens.

He said that the delegation stressed they will be the loyal soldiers to block any attempts targeting the national unity and will spare neither their souls nor their money in protecting the Homeland.
