, is seeking 260,000 barrels of oil products for delivery into Malaysia in December, industry sources said on Tuesday. The company is seeking 30,000 barrels of a gasoline additive called methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) to be either loaded from Singapore or Malaysia over Dec. 1 to 7 or delivered into Port Dickson over Dec. 3 to 9. It is also seeking 30,000 barrels of jet fuel for either loading from Singapore or Malaysia over Dec. 3 to 9 or delivery into Port Dickson over Dec. 5 to 11. Petron Fuel is also seeking four combination cargoes of 500 ppm sulphur gasoil and 95-octane gasoline totalling 200,000 barrels for delivery into various ports across Malaysia, the sources said. The tender closes on Nov. 5 and is valid until Nov. 8. The company seeks jet fuel every three months and gasoline regularly for its Malaysian requirements, a source close to the matter said. It imports oil products instead of buying from Malaysia's Petronas, which is usually short of certain oil products and needs to import as well.
