Pakistani expatriates in the Kingdom unanimously bestowed the title of "People's Ambassador" on Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan during a meeting held at a city restaurant on Thursday.
The event was organized by Choudhry Faryad Ahmed, a father figure at the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) in Riyadh, and its president, Saeed Ahmed Waince.
It was hosted by the PML-N in collaboration with the Pakistan Writers Club of Riyadh.
The audience also urged Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to consider extending the tenure of Khan in the Kingdom for another three years in recognition of his services to his countrymen.
Khan has been in the Kingdom for the past three years.
Waince said: "I am a witness to his devoted services to the community since he makes it a point to meet community members at the mission every Tuesday."
