Pakistan Parliamentarian on Wednesday said that Iranian nuclear program is peaceful asking west to quit the policy of double standards against the Islamic Republic.

Talking to IRNA, Member of National Assembly, Rai Hasan Nawaz Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that Iran is a responsible country and has right to develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
He went on to say that Iran has repeatedly assured to the world that their nuclear program is peaceful so the west must accept Iran's nuclear right without any delay.

The politician added that nuclear technology is the need of hour as it can be used for so many purposes. "West must not adopt policy of double standards against Iran," he viewed.

Rai Hasan Nawaz Khan expressing his views said that sanctions against Iran are baseless. He opined that imposition of sanctions is a failed strategy. "Pakistan too has been the victim of western sanctions but still we are surviving," said the legislator.

The PTI leader added that United Nations (UN) has become a tool in the hands of some countries. "Their policies are compromised," noted the politician. He said that some western countries are using UN for their own purposes.

He said that some countries want to maintain monopoly over the nuclear technology. "That is why they are against nuclear programs of Muslim countries," said Rai Hasan Nawaz Khan.

The lawmaker said that dialogue between Iran and west must continue to resolve issues but the talks must be unconditional. "The success of talks depends on the sincerity of west," he said.
