Dubai, Apr 07th, 2013 (WAM) -- A day filled with smiles, laughter, happiness and joy was gifted to many orphans on 3rd Arab Orphan Day, 6th April 2013 by Dar Al Ber Society.
Under the patronage of the spouse of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Dar Al Ber Society was privileged to organize this celebration for orphans and families.The celebrations began with a sumptuous lunch for all followed by competitions and games organized and judiciously planned by the committee to include every child present on the occasion. Smiles grew larger as each participant walked away with gifts at the end of the contests. The Dubai Police presented a self-defense act and a dog show for the audience. "We enjoyed the day, the delicious snacks and we are going to play with our gifts. We had lots of fun", said Meera, a 12 years old girl and her friends, as they got off the stage after the games.
"This is a great opportunity for us as an organisation to be able to further the message of our Almighty to support the needy with all we can at various occasions and seek His bountiful blessings for every individual and company that support us" says Hussain Al balooshi, Orphan Director in Dar Al Ber Society.
Dar Al Ber acknowledged all sponsors and partners with mementoes and certificates. Guests included senior business and government delegates in the country. The event received extensive media coverage.
The day?s celebrations were rightly themed as "Meet a Caring Mother". What more can a needy heart yearn for. A thoughtful mind that is loving, caring and sharing brings together the treasure that ensures everlasting pleasure.
